In any case, a friend reports that the "is" has been covered with an "are" now. I don't think we can take credit -- since when did Claremont takes its marching orders from Pomoniacs?
I just saw this on Monday morning. It still said 'IS'. It's right across the street from the post office right? Unless they have several signs around the old town during construction?
