livin' large in the AC (Arts Colony, that is)

A pal sent me this video, which has apparently been circulating among his workmates. I wrote to Walt, the videographer, asking his permission to post it, which he has granted, and so here you go:

I'll let the assembled company decide whether there's a takeaway point and if so, what it is. I'm mainly posting it because I was amused.

Where is this and what is going on? Sounds like it is a recurring event in Walt's life.

it's in public. anyone can be recorded at anytime, you cannot ask someone to turn off the camera in public.

Actually, you, as a citizen, can always ask that the camera be turned off. If you're nice about it, and if there is a good reason (like you're photographing minors without their parent or guardian's permission), the request can even be granted. It's just that law enforcement can't ask you to turn the camera off.

mrmollet, sorry not to have answered your question sooner. The footage is filmed outside the Brick, and the manager of the Brick is attempting to persuade the police to forcibly shut down[1] Walt's camera.

[1] Yes, a split infinitive! Shocking, I know.

Hell, I already forgot the Brick even existed.
